Serra-Sipe Tread Feature
Serra-Sipes, an Oliver Rubber exclusive, are
serrated edges cut across the tread, creating
thousands of tiny edges to grip the road while
improving the tread's flexibility. The flexing action
allows the tire to expel excess water on wet
roadways while reducing heat generation and
stress build-up in the tread.
The extra gripping improves the margin of safety
when driving on slick surfaces. Increased traction
of trailer tire treads reduces the chances of
skidding in unexpected braking situations.
Some users report that when Serra-Sipe is used
on trailers and low torque drive tires, tread mileage
improves significantly. Not for use on high torque and high horsepower applications.
